An important part of any heap leach circuit is the agglomeration drum, also called heap leach drum or Agglomerator. Materials like copper ore and gold ore benefit from the use of agglomeration prior to stacking and leaching the ore to extract the mineral. The main duty of the drum is to roll the fines material after it has been crushed to promote a uniform particle size to create and mix in the leachate before going to heap leach stacking.
The process gives the ore a head start by creating a homogenous mixture of ore fines and leachate. MAX Plant have been working in the field of heap leach plants for over 30 years and installed agglomeration drums into gold and copper plants, it’s now with great excitement we offer our newest product to the MAX Plant product range – the AD528E track mounted Agglomerator.
