MT Dove MAX Plant Up and Running

The successful commissioning and full scale production of the new MAX Plant supplied at Atlas Iron – Mt Dove WA.

Plant layout sees a Striker JM1310, 2 x SCH208 Modular Screens, 2 x Striker Mobile Cone Crushers and various equipment including SamplersConveyors and for the first time 2 very impressive 45m Radial Stockpile Conveyors.

The contract was again ran in close conjunction with our very good customer Mining and Civil Australia (MACA) and for the first time in recent contracts a mix of client supplied and MAX Plant supplied new equipment was utilised to maximise plant production to an impressive 580 tonnes per hour of -12mm Iron Ore.

The genesis of the plant was the utilisation of an existing MAX Plant supplied MACA plant based at Crosslands – Jack Hills project WA where the contract to produce Iron Ore had finished. MAX Plant removed the existing units and upgraded them all to electric drive, transported to MT Dove and installed them along with the introduction of the new equipment which saw the plant expand into its new impressive layout. The plant is totally electric drive controlled by a bespoke operator computer HMI system which integrates all plant functions into an ergonomic and user friendly plant control system.

The MT Dove project, once again proves, and is a shining example, of the total flexibility and versatility of the MAX Plant concept. The utilization of existing MAX Plant equipment, coupled with its flexible footprint and its ability to absorbed into a new format at minimum cost and downtime even during site moves puts MAX Plant into a new league of plant design and operation.
