When Jordan Pedley stepped into the role of President of the WA Mining Club, it was never about a title. It was about responsibility. To the members, to the industry, and to making sure the Club kept moving forward.
Behind that, MAX Plant has played a quiet but important role.
Not by stepping into the spotlight, but by backing the time, energy, and focus it takes to do the job properly.
Running a business and leading an organisation like the WA Mining Club at the same time is not light work. There are events to deliver, sponsors to support, committees to align, and a growing member base that expects more every year. That only works if there’s support behind the scenes.
At MAX Plant, that support has been simple. Give people the space to lead. Back them to follow through. And trust that investing in the industry comes back tenfold.
Over the past year, that’s translated into real outcomes.
The Club has continued to grow, with strong attendance across luncheons and events that bring the industry together in a meaningful way. Not just numbers in a room, but genuine connection between operators, suppliers, and decision-makers.
Programs like Pit to Pixel and the Get Into Mining Camps have continued to push forward, giving students a real look into what this industry offers. That matters. If we want mining to have a future, we need to show the next generation what’s possible.
The scholarship program has also stepped up again, with more applicants than ever and more opportunities created for young people to get a start. That’s not just a feel-good initiative, it’s a pipeline for the future of the industry.
Events like the President’s Cup and Miners Mingle continue to build the culture of the Club. They bring people together in a way that feels natural, not forced. That’s where relationships are built, and where the industry strengthens itself.
None of this happens by accident.
It takes a committee that’s aligned, a clear direction, and a willingness to put in the work. But it also takes businesses that are prepared to support that effort, even when it doesn’t directly show up on a balance sheet.
That’s where MAX Plant sits.
We’re in the business of crushing and screening, but we’re also part of the industry that surrounds it. Supporting leadership, backing initiatives, and helping create a stronger mining community is part of that.
Because at the end of the day, strong businesses are built on strong industries. And strong industries are built on people willing to step up.
Jordan has done that this year.
MAX Plant has simply made sure she could.
